Dandan felt that something had been off lately.
Nothing unusual had happened, and work was going fine, but he felt his memories starting to disappear, with more and more things growing hazy.
He even seemed to be hallucinating. When Dandan opened his eyes, the whole house looked like a fuzzy, disorienting mass, as if his eyes had swallowed ten pounds of down feathers. Then, the next second, it vanished.
Mysterious, eerie shadows were always drifting past the window at night. More absurdly, he felt that something was wrong with his beloved pet bird, too.
The fluffy little bird seemed to be talking to someone, and a piercing red glint would occasionally flash in its pitch-black, round eyes.
Then, somehow, he seemed to fall into the bird's pupil.
Anyway, when he came to, the whole world was wrong.
His little bird had grown taller than a person.
He turned his head and saw that the neighbor's beagle outside the window had grown as big as a cow and was running along a racetrack in the sky, dozens of meters above the ground.
The giant cat star on TV was hosting a variety show.
Dandan panicked and hugged the bird. “Baby, what's happened to this world? Why are all the pets acting so weird?”
The fluffy white bird in front of him changed its appearance. Its human form was an intensely vivid white, with white hair and brown eyes, like an angel. It tilted its head. “What pets? You're the pet, human.”
“You're the pet duck the bird hatched from an egg.”
Dandan screamed!!!!!!
“I must be sick.”
The bird frowned and shed a sympathetic tear. “Can I take you to the pet hospital? Humans shouldn't be afraid of going to the hospital. It's okay, human. You can have lots of little three-thousand-yuan illnesses. The bird has lots of money.”
[?Reading Guide: Rules for Strange Tales?]
One: The author may have eaten poisonous mushrooms and let their imagination run wild in the middle of the night. An octopus helped type up this blurb.
Two: The author typed on the keyboard with eight hands and ended up with 459 characters, which is terribly inefficient. The author got roasted by a pillow summoned to help people sleep.
Three: The pillow told the author that people only have two hands, and anything with eight hands isn't human.
Four: The octopus may be the author, but it doesn't have three lively, beating hearts or blue blood. It's just a toy by the window.
Five: Anyone who correctly guesses the author's true form can win a white-backed green five-pointed star, one finger's width from the edge of the phone screen as you swipe up. It's a fake S-rank reward.
To sum up, the author isn't an octopus [thinking].
So this is probably a short story of about 100,000 words, with the feel of a hallucination after eating too many poisonous mushrooms [bunny nodding.jpg].
The main premise is a strange world where humans and pets have switched places [cute.jpg].
