[Hunter] The Cat of Phantom Troupe No. 6

Meow joined a troupe. Meow was happy. She loved this freewheeling, joyful group with all her heart.

She liked arm-wrestling the man in tiger-skin clothes.

She liked listening to the slick-haired guy read aloud.

She liked playing Pictionary with the blond big sister.

She liked playing cat's cradle with the pink-haired big sister.

She liked gaming with the cool guy.

But she was especially wary of the person who always smiled with curved eyes and seemed incredibly gentle.

Because... he was always circling around her, casually brushing her hand and ruffling the top of her head.

Meow hated it. It made her heart feel uncomfortable, like a crazed rabbit was thumping away inside her chest.

The troupe leader looked up the Hunter Encyclopedia for her, then solemnly diagnosed her with sinus arrhythmia, a condition that could cause sudden death.

She treated it like a serious threat and told the man what the troupe leader had said. But he didn't show the slightest concern. Instead, his eyes suddenly lit up, and his delight practically spilled out.

“Oh~ What a coincidence! I have that too!”

Meow: “...”

All right, maybe he didn't understand what sudden death meant.

Looking at his smiling eyes and kind, friendly face, Meow decided to stay away from him for her own safety!

But unexpectedly, her avoidance didn't make him happy. The sunshine on his face faded day by day, and his gaze grew darker and darker.

In the end, even his usual smile held a vicious glint, as if he were about to lock his prey away forever.

Yikes, why?

Meow didn't understand.

Pakunoda, who knew everything, poked Meow. “Stay away from him. He's got his eye on you.”

Meow: “Huh? What? Crucian carp? Are they tasty?”
