Wang Juzi, just like his name suggests, is a plump, adorable orange cat.

As the beloved little orange cat of Seventeenth Middle School’s junior high division, Wang Juzi spends every day being fed by human children and ruling the school building.

A cat’s life is simple. Apart from eating, sleeping, and causing trouble for people (crossed out) bringing them joy, he gets to throw his weight around in class by virtue of being a cat.

Then, one day, the little cat turns into a little human.

The smug cat thinks he’s about to enjoy a wonderful first-love kind of school life, but instead, he has to attend two months of basic-knowledge training.

And high school turns out to be nothing like he expected, either.

It’s bad enough that all the familiar faces around him are spirits. Why is someone from junior high carrying around a record of his embarrassing cat antics and ending up in his class, too?
