Lin Xi is a shut-in office drone.
He's about to turn thirty, yet he's never been in a relationship. His parents are terribly worried, but he always avoids questions about it all.
No one knows that more than ten years ago, he transmigrated into a newly launched game, fell in love with an obscure NPC, and then lost everything in the game when he woke up one morning.
Everyone who knows him thinks he's mistaking his imagination for reality, even though he can list countless reasons. For example, he knew about characters introduced in later stages of the game before the developers announced them, and he already knew many hidden side quests and plotlines.
Unfortunately, players on the community forums just call him a fake insider.
One year, two years. Lin Xi was sure his memories couldn't be wrong.
Three years, four years. He still logged into the game every day to give gifts to the NPC he loved.
Five years, six years. Lin Xi began doubting himself too, even giving in to his parents and going to see a therapist.
By the eleventh year, he had long since given up on his memories.
Then, on an utterly ordinary evening that year, the "person" he loved quietly appeared before him.
Moist mist fogged up his glasses. Through the blur, he heard: "Lin Xi, I've finally found you."
In a fairytale-like town, everyone worked from sunrise to sunset, living happy and peaceful lives.
But Setia Lido was an outsider. He was a monster brought back from the battlefield by a retired soldier, unable to endure sunlight like a low-level demon.
By day, he could only hide in the dark attic. Only at night could he leave the cave where he was kept. Almost no one in town knew about him. He was like an NPC no one cared about.
He desperately wished he could be a princess from a storybook, with someone opening the attic door and taking him to an ideal castle.
Then, in the summer of his third year in town, beneath a tree covered in fireflies, he finally met his hero.
Theme: Pursue the one you love.
Author, are you still updating... I like this setting so much, please come back and update [Orange Heart]
I always feel that I can't write the feeling I want, and it's a common problem of having high vision and low hand.
I'm cramming for finals week, I'll update steadily after the exam [Okay]
