The Hero's Journal: Continent of Creation is an RPG combining adventure, management, and role-playing. Players take on the role of an adventurer, make friends, collect weapons, defeat monsters, and eventually head to the Demon King's Castle to kill the Demon King.
And you are just an NPC, known as "Villager B's Daughter."
You have no name, no lines, and spend every day lying sick in bed, waiting through an endless loop for your father, Villager B, to trade the beginner's gift pack for medicinal herbs from the adventurers.
One day, you awaken to your own existence.
You get out of bed and leave your home for the first time in your life.
The streets are full of adventurers in armor, all talking about how to reach the Demon King's Castle.
After killing the Demon King, they can claim immense wealth, status, and glory.
Unlike them, you have no character panel, no weapons inventory, and no quest guidance.
You clutch the beginner's gift pack you stole from home and think: Someone has to kill the Demon King. Why can't it be me?
The game The Hero's Journal: Continent of Creation invades reality, trapping every player inside its world. They believe that only by killing the Demon King can they earn the right to return to reality.
Following their quest guides, the players diligently fight monsters and level up every day. But gradually, they realize something is wrong...
The dragon's lair is completely empty. Someone has ransacked it, leaving not even a single gold coin behind.
The Hero's Sword, which only the chosen one can draw, has vanished. Someone even carved a carefree "I was here" into its stone pedestal with a sword.
The princess, who should be waiting in the castle for the hero's triumphant return, has run away from home. All she left behind was a farewell letter full of profanity, even cursing out her own father, the king.
After countless hardships, the players finally reach the Demon King's Castle.
But when the doors open, they see the mighty, evil, and brutal Demon King bowing his noble head and kneeling beside a woman, as obedient as a dog.
A hardcore player who has beaten the game countless times recognizes the woman's face and murmurs, "...Isn't that Villager B's daughter?"
At the end of the story, the old king drops to his knees and offers up the crown with both hands. "This is the wealth, status, and glory you deserve."
You've already earned all that for yourself. You shake your head and say, "All I want is freedom, freedom, and freedom."
