The Intern, Pregnant with the CEO's Baby

Intern Sheng Ran is stunned when she gets her pregnancy test results. Back at the office, she sees that the clock-in deadline is almost past and rushes toward the elevator just before its doors close. Once inside, she discovers four people there.

The CEO, the CEO's secretary, the HR manager, and her department manager.

A lethal combination!

Sheng Ran awkwardly greets them and stands aside. Her department manager asks her for the receipt from yesterday's dinner. Sheng Ran checks her pocket, and the test results slip lightly to the floor. She reaches down to pick them up, but CEO Zhou Mingzheng beats her to it.

Holding the test results, Zhou Mingzheng's brow relaxes slightly, and his voice rises. "Oh, you're pregnant!"

Everyone: "..."

The HR manager is the first to react and shrieks, "Pregnant? You've only been an intern for a little over a month!"

The department manager takes a deep breath. "It's good for a young woman to get pregnant, but why don't you go straight to HR today and take care of your resignation?"

Zhou Mingzheng carefully folds the test results and puts them in his suit pocket, then says gently to Sheng Xi, "Don't worry about them for now. I'll go with you to your prenatal checkup."

Sheng Ran smiles: I'm dead. Goodbye!
