Lately, I've been surviving on The Pitt. I love this show!
I especially love Abbott and Shen, so I took a break from my proper work (the slow-burn story next door) to write this, hehe.
You can think of this as a branch of We Create, which I'm still drafting. I plan to make We Create a big series, not just including 9-1-1, but other American TV shows too, and turn it into my own all-American fandom universe, haha.
Synopsis below
John Shen is an optimist. Even on the worst day imaginable, he'll sip his iced coffee, flash you an easy smile, and tell you not to worry, things will be okay.
Jack Abbott is a pragmatic man with a pessimistic streak. He's been through a lot, so even on the worst day imaginable, he remains composed, as though nothing could bother him.
The night-shift staff at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center always say that as long as Shen and Abbott are there, nothing can defeat them.
But...
Even carefree Shen will quietly shed tears in a deserted corner, and even the unflappable Abbott will end up on the edge of a rooftop.
Luckily,
Abbott will hold Shen close and comfort him gently, while Shen will find Abbott right away. The two of them will lean against each other, gazing up at the starless night sky above the city.
A few things to know before reading
1. Pairing: John Shen/Jack Abbott, either order.
2. The timeline is entirely my own. The main characters are from The Pitt, but you can probably follow the story without having seen the show.
3. The medical details may not be accurate. Please feel free to point out any issues.
4. Updates whenever inspiration strikes. I should finish it pretty quickly.
5. This is a branch in the same series as my upcoming story We Create.
Important! Important! Important!
Given the recent renewed disillusionment with the "kill line," I want to reiterate that everything in this story is based on the settings of American TV shows. Anything that doesn't match reality should be considered part of a fictional parallel universe! This is a parallel universe with a better social environment, welfare system, and even those wicked corporations! This story does not glorify the real-life United States!
Theme: Love isn't found, it's created
Will this article be updated?
Damn, please don't stop updating. I searched all over the Internet to find the Pittsburgh fanfic. It's so difficult 😭
