Jiang Nianxing died. A System found her and offered to let her transmigrate into small worlds to complete missions, promising to bring her back to life once she succeeded.
She agreed, but the System never told her that in every world she would become entangled with a yandere named Shen Peizhi.
World One:
Jiang Nianxing had no idea why she was being held captive. Her neighbor, the older boy she had grown up with, stood by the bed looking as gentle and refined as ever, but he was running his fingers over a pair of ankle cuffs.
“Who gave you that love letter?”
“Do you remember playing house when we were six?”
She tried hard to remember, but couldn't recall who had sent the letter. Then, all at once, she remembered how some of the children had pretended to hold a wedding when they were little. She had been the bride, and her neighbor had been the groom. He had asked her, “Do you take me?”
She had said, “I do.”
But that was just playing house, wasn't it?
World Two:
Jiang Nianxing met a boyfriend online. He was attentive and considerate, and after three months together, he messaged her: “Babe, let's meet in person?”
She panicked. She had never intended to have anything to do with him in real life. After sending him a curt “We're not right for each other,” she blocked him.
There are consequences for playing with someone's feelings, and hers were dire: she was taken captive.
“Where do you think you're going?”
The man didn't seem to care whether she answered. As he rolled up his sleeves, he casually picked up the collar on the table and asked tenderly, “Would you rather wear it around your neck or your leg?”
Jiang Nianxing regretted it. She shouldn't have gotten involved with a wolf in sheep's clothing.
World Three:
After a car accident, Jiang Nianxing went blind. Thankfully, her boyfriend didn't abandon her.
He stayed by her side during treatment, cooked for her, planned their wedding, and told her he loved her.
But once she could see a little, something seemed off. Had the man in the kitchen gotten much taller?
“Your eyesight is impaired. It's normal for things to look different.”
Her vision had only halfway returned when she glimpsed the door across the hall standing open. A moment later, her boyfriend walked out of that apartment and then, as if it were perfectly natural, came into hers.
Why had her boyfriend come out of the neighbor's apartment?
When her sight finally returned completely, she turned over in bed and stared rigidly at the impossibly handsome face beside her.
The person who had shared her bed for three months was her doctor, the neighbor next door.
Worlds Four and Five... to be unlocked.
Reader's Guide:
1. The System is just a background element.
2. The heroine is born into each world and has no memories of transmigrating, so these are essentially real experiences.
