You Set Me Up

Synopsis:

On this day in his second year of high school, Xi Yue sat at the back desk by the window, horsing around with his deskmate. They pinned each other's heads down and made each other call them "ancestor."

Their homeroom teacher walked in, bringing with him a taciturn, icy transfer student who seemed like a walking refrigerator factory.

"His name is Wen Suo. He's transferring here from the UK, and he'll be our new classmate. Jiang Xin, your grades have improved a lot while you've been sitting next to Xi Yue, so come sit in the front row. Wen Suo, you can sit beside Xi Yue. I hear your Chinese isn't very good, so Xi Yue can tutor you from now on."

Xi Yue: Huh?

His deskmate: What?!

As they parted, his deskmate's eyes welled with tears.

Xi Yue looked at the deskmate sitting beside him. He kept looking, until suddenly he came to his senses.

How had his deskmate turned into his husband?! Wasn't he straight?!

Xi Yue pondered, folding his arms and tilting his head as he tried to remember.

Then it all suddenly dawned on him.

Xi Yue pointed at the man in an apron, cooking for him.

"You set me up!"

One-on-one sweet romance.

Energetic, sunny, straight bottom vs. scheming, frosty, calculating husband top.

"I thought you were my buddy, but you thought of me as your wife."

Theme: Love makes people better.
