Ever since transmigrating, Aislin's life plan has been crystal clear.
Save money, then go to school once she's saved enough. In the meantime, collect every grant and subsidy she can get from the Wayne Foundation.
Pick a major that will pay off quickly, get a place of her own, and be able to support Fennie, who's guaranteed to run away from home, and Delilah, who's eighty percent likely to end up in jail.
But now...
Aislin looks at the beautiful face across from her, untouched by the passage of time.
Bruce Wayne.
The richest man in the world, actual owner of Wayne Enterprises, Gotham's eternal prince.
He claims to be Aislin's father, whom she's never met before, and says he wants to support her from now on because a minor deserves a safer environment to grow up in.
Aislin is silent for a moment.
"Could you take me to the dentist?"
The choice of meeting place makes the born-and-raised Gothamite think of a few unpleasant possibilities. Bruce is about to ask if Aislin is feeling unwell.
Aislin finishes her sentence.
"I want to get a tooth fixed."
Reader advisory: Three people transmigrate together. Two are normal people from the real world, and one is a Japanese-style anime fan. None of them know anything about American comics. They've only seen The Avengers 1 at social gatherings.
The heroine is Aislin, a Batkid. The other two are her friends. They're all ordinary people with no superpowers, code names, or nighttime identities.
The heroine transmigrated as a baby. She used to be an unremarkable, short-tempered office worker. After living for over a decade, she's been thoroughly marinated in Gotham, so her moral standards are fairly flexible, but she's a good person at heart.
I'll use whichever parts of the setting I need. This is my take on the timeline and includes original worldbuilding.
There probably won't be much in the way of schemes or a central plot. It's mostly eating, drinking, and trying to live well.
Serious plotlines take too much brainpower, so this is something light to write on the side. I have no outline or chapters saved up. I'll update according to the rankings if it makes the list, or whenever inspiration strikes if it doesn't. You can ask for updates, but it might not help.
I promise to finish it.
Theme: Everyone who writes DC and Marvel crossovers should write a slice-of-life story about a heroine who grew up away from home and was taken in.
