Unaware of his own secret crush x unaware of love at first sight
Pei Shu is gentle and courteous, always putting others first and being far too casual about his own needs, as if nothing matters to him.
But there is one thing he has stubbornly held on to for eight years.
Eight years ago, an earthquake struck City A. Pei Shu sent his classmates ahead, but got trapped behind a pile of toppled desks and chairs.
Screams and sobs filled the air, drowning out Pei Shu's faint cries for help.
But Jian Zhengyan followed the sound of his sobbing and rescued him.
From then on, the sight of Jian Zhengyan silently carrying him out of the devastation remained etched in Pei Shu's heart.
He wanted more than anything to see Jian Zhengyan again.
But the older student was cold and aloof, and Pei Shu couldn't find a single chance to get close to him.
Then, eight years later, Pei Shu's rebellious younger brother fell into a river, and, as luck would have it, Jian Zhengyan was the one who rescued him again.
It should have been the perfect opportunity to get in touch, but Pei Shu was so worried about his hapless brother that he completely forgot to ask Jian Zhengyan for his contact information.

Fluffy, energetic cartoonist bottom x blunt English teacher top who doesn't know how to beat around the bush. Two straightforward people of very different types!
Ruan Jiahuai and He Zhaoyuan don't get along.
One-sidedly, that is.
