My Years Working for the Zoldycks

Manno has found a new job: good pay, little work, and an easy-on-the-eyes boss.

The only downside is that her immediate supervisor's requests are always bizarre.

One minute, he's taking her into his bedroom to test poison; the next, he's holding a few needles and asking to learn acupuncture.

Every time he tests poison, the boss gets knocked unconscious and needs her to give him mouth-to-mouth. When he practices acupuncture, he ends up covered in needles and needs her constant care.

Well, as long as the pay is good, she doesn't mind if her boss is a little stupid.

Illumi discovers that his family has hired a pharmacist. She's dim and quiet, but exceptionally skilled.

He can't withstand her poisons, and he can't match her needling technique.

Either he calls her into his bedroom to build up his resistance to drugs, or he takes out his Nen needles to hone his skills with her.

He can't let someone who keeps shaking loose new assassination techniques get away. He has to make her stay with the Zoldyck family forever.

It's simple: just follow the steps in a romance novel and everything will work out.

Until one day, Manno discovers that her boss has already secretly learned all the skills she'd relied on to make a living, and now she has to find a new job!

Manno decides to pack her bags and leave that very night.

Wait--why has the boss fainted!

It turns out he has an incurable disease.

Great! She doesn't have to find a new job!
