Those were his first words to Sheng Yi.

The cannon-fodder gong forcibly kept the cannon-fodder shou by his side. He was hopelessly in love with the protagonist shou, and when Fan Ling covered his eyes, he looked remarkably like him.
In this life and his last, Sheng Yi had never been called disgusting. But he had to follow the plot and interact with Fan Ling, treating him as a stand-in for the protagonist shou.
When Fan Ling bit him and called him disgusting, Sheng Yi kicked him hard in the face, forcing this dog to say he loved him. It was his way of getting even.
Then one day, Sheng Yi cleansed his meridians and marrow, purging all the impurities from his body. After he accidentally got hurt, everything changed. Fan Ling kept staring at him with those strangely red eyes for no reason, even swallowing nervously.

Fan Ling said he smelled delicious.

Sheng Yi died.
He died in Fan Ling's arms.
He had always loved using the word "love" to disgust Fan Ling, but as he lay dying, Fan Ling kept whispering that he loved him.
