After the Sickly Beauty Beta Is Matched with a Brutal Top A

Shen Qingyu is an undeniably beautiful young man, born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Unfortunately, he's a sickly beta.

To ensure he could stay with the Shen family in the future, his father found him a child bridegroom when he was young.

But before he was old enough, the national marriage-matching System paired him with Lu Yanci, the newly appointed general of District One.

Rumor has it that General Lu is a rare double-S-rank Alpha, cruel and violent, with ruthless methods.

When the news spread, everyone thought the Shen family's sickly young master would be tormented to death in bed in a single night.

Shen Qingyu thought so too.

But for the sake of the Shen family, he had no choice but to marry.

On their wedding night, Shen Qingyu met Lu Yanci for the first time.

The Alpha was tall and handsome, with a cold gaze. Without saying a word, he pushed Shen Qingyu down onto the bed. Shen Qingyu trembled with fear, but the pain he expected never came. The notorious Alpha was gentle with him.

After the wedding, Shen Qingyu lived even more comfortably than he had at the Shen household.

When his medicine was bitter, the cold-faced General Lu personally fed him candy. When he got sulky, the taciturn General Lu held him and soothed him in a soft voice.

Shen Qingyu asked Lu Yanci why he treated him so well.

Lu Yanci said with a cold expression, "I'm not treating you well!"

Then, one day, after getting drunk, Lu Yanci held Shen Qingyu close. The usually cold Alpha's eyes turned red like a child's as he asked, full of grievance, "Brother, why didn't you wait for me? Why did you get another child bridegroom as soon as I was gone?"

Ten years earlier, Shen Qingyu's father first took him to the slums to buy a low-ranked Alpha as a child bridegroom.

Shen Qingyu chose the smallest child, whose body was covered in bruises, with not a single patch of uninjured skin.

Shen Qingyu asked, "What's your name?"

The child stared at him with dark eyes and said nothing. Another child nearby said, "He doesn't have a name. Everyone calls him Mute."

Shen Qingyu tilted his head and said, "Then from now on, your name is Shen Yanci. I'm your older brother, Shen Qingyu."
