After completing a century of missions at the quick transmigration bureau, Liuya finally saves enough points to retire. She chooses a peaceful forest town and prepares to live a quiet, carefree life: growing flowers, brewing tea, basking in the sun, and occasionally going into town to buy bread and honey.
However, her plans are soon disrupted.
First, she discovers a remnant from a mission: a wandering silver-haired elf who can't even cast the simplest spell.
Then a little wolf cub who keeps stealing her apples suddenly turns into a human child right in front of her one day, his eyes brimming with tears as he pleads, "Don't send me away."
And then there's a talking acorn that refuses to sprout in her flowerpot, insisting, "The sunlight is warmer here."
Liuya presses a hand to her forehead. "...I just wanted to retire. How did this turn into a shelter?"
But gradually, the old house deep in the forest grows lively. The young elf learns to bake bread, the wolf cub helps her tend the garden, and the acorn becomes her weather forecaster.
It turns out retirement doesn't have to be lonely. As she gently heals others, she is healed in turn.
