[First novel. It has plenty of flaws, so read with caution.]
1.
When Ming Tao, a Golden Scale Guard, returned from a mission, most of the usually peaceful Golden Scale Tower had been engulfed in flames. She was the sole survivor.
After repeatedly bowing her head before the ruins, Ming Tao embarked on a path of revenge. She swore to kill every last member of the evil cult.
Strange things kept happening along the way: an innkeeper who came back from the dead, a plague sweeping the entire city, an abbot with extraordinary powers. At every perilous turn, a jade-like man appeared just in time, offering her inexplicable support and trust.
The man was remarkably capable. With a warm smile and gentle words, he cleared every obstacle. After meeting him a few times, Ming Tao increasingly felt that... they had met somewhere before.
2.
Qing Heng, the young master of Qihe Divine Valley, once left the valley in disguise.
To capture a traitor from the evil cult, he changed his appearance and entered the Golden Scale Tower.
He never expected that as soon as he entered, a Golden Scale Guard would nearly beat his assumed identity to a pulp with two punches.
But why was he the one who got beaten, while she was the one hiding far away?
Every Golden Scale Guard at the tower came to him for treatment. She was the only one who never came.
She never smiled at him when he was quiet, but she smiled at his chattering little sister.
She was so poor she could barely scrape by, yet insisted on settling every last cent with him, even though he didn't want her to pay him back at all.
Things had been better when she used to punch him twice. At least then, he could see that slightly guilty look on her face.
The moment the thought crossed his mind, Qing Heng couldn't make sense of himself and wondered if something was wrong with him.
Only when he'd done everything in his power and still failed to prevent the Golden Scale Tower's destruction, as he watched Ming Tao grieve beyond consolation, did Qing Heng realize that he would rather she avoid him than see her hurt again.
Fortunately, only his assumed identity had died. He could return in his true body.
3.
At last, just as he had wished, Ming Tao stopped avoiding him. More than that, she showed him her feelings without restraint, crying and begging him not to die, not to leave her.
His wish had come true, yet for some reason his heart ached.
It seemed the gods had overlooked part of his prayer. He had wanted her to show him all the vivid joy and sorrow in her heart, but even more than that, he wished for her to know only happiness, never sorrow, and to roam the world freely, even if he couldn't see her.
Qing Heng had forgotten that he was born and raised in Qihe Divine Valley. In the eyes of the world, he was the one who was a god.
Theme: Only by persisting in kindness can one overcome adversity.
It's over. I felt like crying when I saw Qingheng appear. Finally... I'm sorry, so is there a sequel? 🥺
It feels so fast, come on, author [Cat Claw]
Jiang Xu's Horror: The Disappearing Eryi (It would be even better if it comes with a horror film cover)
I didn't notice it before, but now I discovered that the copywriting has been changed. Not only this book, but also the advance copy of The Monster Hunter has been changed. In fact, I think the original copywriting is better. Of course, it still depends on the author's own ideas. Come on, author [laughs]
The writing is really good, but the number of collections can't grow. I have some sympathy for the author 🥺 🥺 🥺
Come on, come on, this setting is very interesting [star eye][star eye][star eye]
