The Crabapple Blossom Speaks

"What do I hope for him?"

When someone asked her that, the Princess of Pingguo, sitting with her knees drawn up on the stone steps, smiled with tender affection.

"Perhaps, if he wants to save this world, I hope to watch him from afar, to see him become Yin Tang, the young marquis beloved by all, handsome and honorable, the pride of the capital."

The setting sun fell upon her like a brocade embroidered with flowers, the kind she had loved most back when she was still proud and carefree.

Beneath that beautiful sunset, the Princess of Pingguo slowly closed her eyes.

"Because then, somehow, it would seem that I, insignificant as I am, could belong to him along with all the people of this world."

This is how I've always loved him, in a way that's both infuriating and impossible to hate.
