Demining Guide
1. An unconventional sweet pet with a heavy and depressing tone. The core is the salvation of the soul under near death.
2. Yuanjiang's first-person single perspective, the reader's information is limited, and Luo Shidu needs to indirectly speculate about his heart
3. The theme of terminal illness, including a large number of descriptions of diseases, medical scenes and discussions of life and death issues
4. Yuanjiang suffers from long-term emotional numbness and self-denial; Luo Shidu appears to be open-minded, but is actually in deep pain.
The time shown is one day because I finished writing this three months ago and have been revising it, but it has not been posted at all. Now it is posted (^▽^)
short story~
Where life begins to count down, they learn how to truly live.
Fourteen-year-old Yuan Jiang is a withered tree. Ever since she was sentenced to "not live to be twenty" at the age of seven, her world has shrunk to the four walls of the ward. Numbness is her armor against pain and a wall that blocks out all emotions. Every day she was waiting for the end to come, until that autumn day, another girl was pushed into her ward.
Luo Shidu's arrival was like an unannounced light. This girl of the same age is pale and frail, but carries a strange vitality. She gave colors poetic names, said pain was "silver threads playing a symphony," and painted the rhythms of breathing into shapes. In Yuan Jiang's eyes, Luo Shidu was like a gardener who strayed into a withered forest and began to speak softly to her tree, which had long since given up growing.
"You are a seed wrapped in too many winters," Luo Shidu said to her, "with the entire forest hidden inside."
In this white ward, two girls who had been sentenced to probation by time began to build something: a shared "museum" notebook recording colors, sounds and shapes of pain; an invisible bridge connecting the islands between the two hospital beds; an imaginary geography with oceans, forests and rivers that they could never reach but already lived in their hearts.
Yuan Jiang gradually discovered that when Luo Shidu held her hand, the warmth did not come from the skin, but from some deeper ocean current - slow, firm, connecting the sparks that still refused to extinguish in their declining bodies.
Medical predictions hang high above their heads. When their bodies constantly remind them of the end, they choose to rebel in the most gentle way: to love, to create, to witness, and in every difficult breath, build an eternity that belongs to each other.
