Ye Qizhuo x Sheng Fanyin
When Sheng Fanyin first met Ye Qizhuo at six, the boy had moved in across the hall with his mother. Sheng Fanyin didn't know Ye Qizhuo's parents had just divorced. He only wondered how someone could keep crying all night without running out of tears.
At fifteen, they were at karaoke when Ye Qizhuo got drunk after just two sips of beer and grabbed Sheng Fanyin by the head to kiss him. Sheng Fanyin hauled him away in disgust. Seeing Ye Qizhuo's ears turn bright red under the lights, he figured the guy must be a little crazy.
After the college entrance exams at eighteen, Ye Qizhuo wanted to give up F University and repeat a year just to attend the same university as Sheng Fanyin. Sheng Fanyin decided he was definitely a little crazy, pressed his head down, and made him submit his application. Ye Qizhuo sulked about it all summer.
And then they turned twenty.
On New Year's Eve, Sheng Fanyin saw Ye Qizhuo outside his dorm for some reason. The scarf around Ye Qizhuo's neck was the one Sheng Fanyin had given him for New Year's Day in their first year of high school. White mist escaped his lips as he spoke, but his light brown eyes shone brilliantly.
"I know I should still be mad, but there's something I'd rather know," Ye Qizhuo said. "I think I like you."
The onlookers let out a chorus of gasps. Sheng Fanyin heard a camera shutter click. After a long silence, he crouched beneath the balcony railing and rubbed his burning earlobes.

1. Absolutely no switching the established gong and shou roles, and no extreme role loyalists. Comments of that kind will be deleted. The leads are equally devoted to each other. Thank you for respecting that.
2. By my standards, this probably counts as cute gong and cute shou. Both are virgins. It's a short story about two very immature guys. The gong has plenty of issues, and the shou doesn't indulge him at all. There are lots of friends bickering and messing around, plus chaotic everyday antics.
3. The tags should really include childhood friends to lovers, but JJ doesn't have that tag.
