[Chatty, sunny ghost bottom x cold-faced emperor top]
One-on-one, both virgins
A warning in advance: the plot moves very slowly.
(But the couple is sweet!)

Yu Ran remembered that he had died.
Who knew that after closing his eyes, he could open them again? And when he did, his body was halfway through the coffin, as if he were clipping through it. Half his body was still beneath the coffin, and he was face-to-face with someone.
Their eyes met. One was Yu Ran, who had no idea how he had suddenly come "back to life." The other was an emperor in a black-and-gold ceremonial robe, his head crowned with an imperial crown.
Yu Ran said, bewildered, "Um... hello?"
Hearing the greeting, the man, whose face had been impassive, curled his lip and scoffed coldly.
Yu Ran: ...?
How rude!

Yin Shiqing ran into a ghost in broad daylight.
And it wasn't enough that he'd run into a ghost. The ghost had latched onto him.
Knowing no one else could see him, the ghost followed him around without restraint. He came along to court, followed him to meals, and even followed him to bed.
And on top of sticking to him, he did nothing but cause trouble.
The officials at court feared Yin Shiqing like a venomous snake, but this ghost dared to come right up to him and make faces, trying to make him laugh while he reprimanded the ministers with a cold expression.
At meals, when he noticed Yin Shiqing was picky, he sucked all the flavor out of a delicious dish and left it tasteless.
At night, he got into bed even faster than Yin Shiqing. He claimed he was there to warm the blankets, but the ghost's bed was colder than a snowy night outside.
Yin Shiqing, who was a neat freak, hated physical contact with people, and had an exceptionally strong sense of personal space, felt a vein throbbing at his temple.

Question: How do you get rid of a ghost that's haunting you?
Answer: Call a Taoist priest. If you can't find one, call a Buddhist monk.
Yet the emperor, who ruled the land and was always coldly grabbing the annoying ghost by the hand to lead him somewhere he would be less of a nuisance, never called a single Taoist priest or Buddhist monk to exorcise him.
His daily routine was to watch the ghost cause trouble beside him, grinning with his handsome, boyish face as he called out, "Yin Shiqing, Yin Shiqing, Yin Shiqing!"
Annoying and clingy. But after hearing him call out at his side for long enough, Yin Shiqing got used to it and couldn't bear to be without him.
Who knew that one day the young man would come up to him and, for once, behave himself instead of teasing him? Just as Yin Shiqing began to feel strangely unsettled by how obedient he was, the boy asked, "Yin Shiqing, I want to leave this place. Can you..."
Before Yu Ran could finish, the young emperor seized his wrist, his face darkening at once. "Leave? Where do you want to go?"
"You've annoyed me for so long, and now you think you can just leave?"
He said each word slowly: "I. Won't. Allow. It."
Yu Ran: ...?
Who cares whether you allow it or not? I just want to leave the palace and have some fun!
His daily muttering: Ice-face Yin Shiqing! No ghost could possibly like him!
I'm never liking Yin Shiqing again!

Actually, I still like him a lot (gets hit)
Reading guide:
◆ As usual, it's a sweet little couple with no romantic angst.
◇ Not much plot, just focusing on the couple. A little sweet treat for bedtime~
◆ The whole world is fictional, and the map is the kind of made-up nonsense Tang came up with. Don't base anything on reality!
◇ Ranran talks a lot. He can churn out an 800-character essay in a minute. Proceed with caution if that bothers you.
◆ Hope all you lovely readers enjoy the story! May you be happy every day!
