When the closed beta opened, players flocked to sign up, drawn in by Sacred Realm's story.

Story One: A holy six-winged angel spreads its wings in the sky, its radiance reaching every inch of the heavenly realm.

Story Two: A brazen, arrogant vampire stands beneath the blood moon. Bat wings behind him blot it out, and delicate silver chains coil around his raised fingertips as he effortlessly captures the players' hearts.

Story Three: Beneath the full moon and its silvery frost, the white-haired wolf king draws his bow like an eagle spreading its wings. A star-blue arrow pierces the endless night.

Forum: They're just good-looking. Other than those character models, what is there to see?

Sacred Realm offers enormous freedom and an astonishing variety of ways to play. But little by little, the buzz around several of its main NPCs kept growing.

Half a month later, the main story updated again, and a post appeared on the forum. It exploded in popularity, reaching 1.8 billion views and claiming the top spot on the forum homepage.

The main story finally reached its end. Before the players, the Holy Angel's vast white wings covered the heavenly realm. Blazing golden light poured down from the sky, and golden feathers fell into the abyss.

At last, the silent wolf king sank to his knees in a sea of flowers. They swayed as their king fell into eternal sleep.

The demon sealed beneath the abyss, the angel spreading pure and flawless wings, or the aloof, icy, noble vampire.

Each of them made a staggering impression on players the first time they met. So when the story ended and they realized these characters were villains, countless players flooded the game's official forum.
