*Ruthless, vicious young lady × loyal guard who willingly serves as a substitute
On the day Yin Fu, the Chancellor Yin’s only daughter, turned eighteen, the Yin family bought her the second-ranked top shadow guard from the Shadow Pavilion as a birthday gift, assigning him to protect her at close quarters.
The man had a stern face, and his tight black clothes outlined his powerful muscles. His whole bearing seemed to say that anyone who came near him would be killed without mercy. Yet before her, he only lowered his eyes, meek as could be. “This subordinate is called Xuan Shuang.”
At first, Yin Fu had no intention of keeping him. But his face looked so much like her dead beloved, Pei Yu.
So she hooked a finger beneath Xuan Shuang’s chin and told him, enunciating every word, “From now on, your name is A Yu.”
Xuan Shuang seemed not to understand, but he obediently agreed to all her demands. To look more like Pei Yu, he even cut a long, narrow scar into his own abdomen, letting blood gush out and stain his snow-white bandages red again and again.
With the bed curtains half drawn, he answered each call of “A Yu,” but dared only to whisper, “Young lady.”
*
The beloved Yin Fu had thought dead suddenly returned. The Zhao family, who had always been at odds with her, went to considerable trouble to capture him, only to discover that their prisoner was not Pei Yu, but the shadow guard Xuan Shuang, who looked seven or eight parts like him.
But why was this top assassin, famed for killing without batting an eye, covered in shameful marks of being wantonly used? Only his eyes remained cold and sharp as blades as he murmured hoarsely that he would listen only to the young lady.
When she learned that Xuan Shuang had gone missing, Yin Fu paid no attention. She had been so cruel in tormenting him that it was only natural he had run away.
It was not until the man came running back to the residence, covered in blood, that Yin Fu remembered him again.
Xuan Shuang knelt at her feet, breathing unsteadily. But when he looked up, he saw Pei Yu sitting beside Yin Fu, gently pouring her wine.
He panicked. Knowing he was no longer useful, he could only tremble as he called, “Young lady.”
“Now that A Yu has returned, I have no need of you anymore,” Yin Fu said coolly.
She watched Xuan Shuang’s eyes dim, bit by bit. The man humbly caught the hem of her skirt, as if begging like a dog wagging its tail.
“Please, young lady, don’t abandon me.”
“Just think of it as keeping a dog by your side.”
[Reader Notice]
1. All characters have normal anatomy. The male lead is pure in body and mind. He suffers.
2. The heroine has feelings for her beloved early on, but later stops caring for him. When she tells the male lead to leave in the blurb, she is only bullying him; the heroine enjoys it.
3. The male lead is a loyal dog who remains extremely, extremely humble before the heroine. Please don’t read if that’s not your thing.
4. A romance-focused two-person story about a young lady bullying her loyal dog. There isn’t much plot; everything serves the romance. Written to indulge a particular kink.

*Morally awful young lady × infatuated, humble, loyal shadow guard
To recover a treasure stolen from the Nanxiu Manor, the young lady Yu Zhu went into action herself. Disguising herself as Ming Yu, the Ming family’s daughter who had been living away from home for years and was about to return to the capital to reunite with her family, she moved into the Ming household. The real Ming Yu had been unlucky enough to die of illness on the road.
Mr. and Mrs. Ming looked at their long-lost daughter, newly returned to them, and wished they could worship her like a goddess. They even bought several shadow guards to protect her personally.
The leader stood out: broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and a face flawless in every way. At their first meeting, he took an assassin’s arrow for her. Crimson blood seeped through his chest as he knelt before her with lowered eyes and said softly, “This subordinate is He Qing, ordered to protect Miss and keep her safe.”
Yu Zhu’s eyes lit up. This shadow guard was not only well-built but could also take pain. Such a fine specimen, just her type, was impossible to find back at the manor.
She happily played the part of the Ming family’s young lady. The man obeyed her in everything. Even when she made outrageous demands, he would only lower his eyes and say that he would do whatever Miss wished.
Later, Yu Zhu got what she wanted and faked her death to escape. Standing amid the thick smoke and flames, she said goodbye to He Qing, whom she had knocked unconscious beforehand, and felt a little regretful.
*
Yu Zhu saw He Qing again half a year later.
On a desolate mountainside, the gaunt man, withered as a dead tree, clutched a gravestone. His eyes held an almost sorrowful devotion. He had not even dared to carve a name into the stone, only the crooked characters for “Miss.”
The villagers said he was mad. For desecrating the Ming family young lady’s belongings, the Ming family had sentenced him to a cruel punishment, broken the bones in his hands and legs, and abandoned him here to fend for himself.
Yu Zhu had never known that the silent shadow guard who endured pain without complaint had been so devoted to her in secret. She sighed, and was about to take him away, when the man used his broken hand to draw the old sword at his waist and point it straight at her throat. Like a vicious wolfhound, his eyes bloodshot, he said, “Don’t touch him.”
Yu Zhu narrowed her eyes and gave a playful smile. She had almost forgotten: she was no longer Ming Yu.
But wasn’t that all the more interesting?
After all, she loved nothing more than forcing someone to submit.
*
Later.
Yu Zhu led the man to kneel before Ming Yu’s memorial tablet. Smiling faintly, she asked him whose man he really was. Now that he was serving a new master, did that count as betraying his former one?
The man knelt reverently at her feet, meeting her teasing gaze as he pulled open his collar, revealing the scars she had left all over his body.
“This subordinate has had only one master, from beginning to end.”
“Please… don’t abandon me again.”

I really want to chat with the author for a whole evening of self-study
Oops, let me go. What did Dog Man become? [Bad laugh]
No, brother, you really think of yourself as the master. Don't always dirty my heroine's 👀, heroine's 👂🏻, and always think about bossing my sister around.
Silly dog, quite good at punishing himself.
At such a young age, I am very confused hahahahaha
Dogs, they turn into monsters as soon as they are out of sight. They cannot leave people.
Otherwise, what are you?
Ah, isn't it because I can't bribe that I think others look down upon me? [Dog Head] Miss Bai Yueguang is going to rot.
