I Ran Away from My Wedding and Ended Up in My Betrothal Partner's Bed

They're the secondary couple in a contract-marriage story!

Yu Yan, the aloof, chaste genius of the physics department, embraces nothing but academia and keeps everyone at arm's length.

Sheng Yi, a rich second-generation heir from Beijing, is unruly and carefree. There are enough people chasing after him to circle the city three times.

One arranged marriage, however, binds these two total strangers together.

Yu Yan: ...How boring. The only one I can love is physics.

So he immediately moved out of the family home, making a run for it.

Sheng Yi: An arranged marriage? No way.

So he had a huge fight with his family, swore he'd rather be alone for the rest of his life than marry for convenience, and stormed out.

While going on a blind date in a friend's place, Yu Yan looked at the man before him, who was showing off like a peacock, and had an idea.

He wasn't his type, but perhaps he could serve as a way to deal with the arranged marriage.

Sheng Yi was grateful he'd gone on a blind date for his buddy, because it led him straight to the person fate had chosen for him.

And so this rebellious rich kid transformed into a devoted, twenty-four-hour-a-day puppy, sticking to his date every waking moment.

One night, the time and place were right, their feelings ran deep, and passion flared.

But before dawn, both of them received messages from their families pressuring them to marry.

Yu Yan furrowed his brow, his expression darkening. "Something came up at home. I have to go back."

Sheng Yi gritted his teeth, looking displeased. "I've got some personal business to take care of too. I can't keep you company today."

Yu Yan went home and deliberately rubbed the kiss mark on his collarbone until it was three shades redder.

Sheng Yi hurried to his destination and mussed up his wrinkled shirt in front of the mirror.

He stormed in, full of bravado, and shoved open the door

Ready to see how he could talk his arranged-marriage partner into... calling it... off...

A familiar face appeared before him. They stared at each other in shock.

Then, in unison:

Yu Yan/Sheng Yi: "Why is it you?!"
