The Mental Patient Coveted by the Abnormal

Tang Wanxing is a mentally ill man with no one to rely on. When he wakes one day, he has a family who loves him dearly.

His family treats him well, but they won't let him go outside.

He doesn't find it strange. He just doesn't like the snake his older brother keeps. It always crawls up his wrist and curls around it.

His father's cooking is often undercooked, and the octopus tentacles inside still move.

One day, he receives an admission notice from an elite academy. His family all object to him going to school, but after he tries hard to persuade them, they finally agree.

His family warns him: Everyone at school is strange and hates good kids like him, so he should keep his distance.

He obediently nods, wanting only to attend school in peace, but the people around him seem overly enthusiastic and are always clinging to him.

His taciturn, cold desk mate says he has mysophobia and tells Tang Wanxing to keep his distance and not bother him unless necessary. But later, his desk mate keeps holding him while they talk, and secretly wraps vines around his ankles.

The stern, old-fashioned teacher scolds him for being a disobedient student and always makes him write self-criticisms. But later, the teacher's ruler quietly tells him that the teacher actually likes him very much.

The gentle school doctor smiles and says he smells delicious, asking whether he'd like to be used as fertilizer for flowers. But later, the doctor often plucks red roses growing from his palm and gives them to him.

Tang Wanxing: So this is what they mean when they say they hate me?

1. A beautiful shou adored by everyone

2. Everyone is mentally ill; one-sided love; countless personal worldbuilding details

3. Plenty of love rivals, romantic rivalry between men, and nonhuman elements

Theme: Treat people sincerely, and they will return your sincerity.
