Wen Ran found her secret crush on an utterly ordinary blind date. At the time, he was blind and had nothing.
The once-favored son of heaven had fallen to rock bottom. With feelings she couldn't name, she took him home and treated him like the most precious porcelain.
She honed her cooking skills to win his stomach, took him to the best eye specialist, and gently soothed him when he had nightmares...
Their relationship grew closer by the day, but a series of unspeakable things began happening at home.
First, her underwear inexplicably disappeared.
Then she would wake in the middle of the night to hear faint, muffled panting.
She suspected the house was haunted. Shen Helin turned his empty, foggy gaze toward her. "If you're scared, I'll sleep under your bed and keep watch."
His hands slipping under her clothes no longer satisfied him. Only getting closer to her could soothe his burning desire.
He had planned to formally confess to Wen Ran after regaining his sight, but by the time his eyes were healed and he returned home, she was gone.
He was going mad trying to find her.
They met again at a business banquet. Shen Helin had regained his sight and returned to the top of the pyramid, once again the center of everyone's attention.
His gaze swept casually over her without lingering for a moment, as if she were no different from any other stranger.
Indeed, he had never seen her face. How could he recognize her?
Wen Ran swallowed the feelings she couldn't put into words.
As they passed each other, the wine in his glass accidentally spilled onto her dress.
Shen Helin apologized politely and distantly.
Afterward, her supervisor thought she was being unreasonable for accepting President Shen's apology without saying a word.
Only Wen Ran knew she was afraid that if she spoke, she would burst into tears.
Thinking Shen Helin had a "girlfriend," Wen Ran cut off all the feelings she shouldn't have had. Even when he kept appearing in front of her, she pretended not to know him.
She did a good job of it. She never expected that after recognizing her, Shen Helin would relentlessly pursue her, growing increasingly aggressive.
After she sternly told him she already had a boyfriend, Shen Helin still cornered her by the bed and asked with a faint smile, "Would you mind having one more boyfriend?"
One-on-one romance, both leads sexually inexperienced
Pre-release: The Gloomy Wheelchair-bound Man Next Door
Blurb: A strange man in a wheelchair moved in next door to Shen Ying. He always wore a hat when he went out and ignored her whenever she greeted him, so she never got a good look at his face.
Later, one day after work, Shen Ying found him collapsed in front of her home. He couldn't get up, and his hands clutched the wheelchair so tightly that his knuckles had turned white.
As she helped him up, she finally got a clear look at him.
Shen Ying's eyes widened in disbelief. "Are you He Silin?"
His answer was a cold "Get lost."
But she didn't leave. Instead, she kept turning up in the days that followed, doing everything she could to make his life better and happier.
He seemed to be moved by her. He started smiling at her, giving her birthday presents, and affectionately calling her Yingying.
She thought they understood each other without needing to say a word.
So when she happened to overhear his mother calling to pressure him to get married, she put her embarrassment aside and boldly asked, "Do you think I'd make a good wife for you?"
He Silin froze. His eyes darkened, and then he rejected her in the most cutting, cruel words he could find.
Shen Ying's heart shattered. She quickly ended her lease and moved away.
During the two years she stayed away from He Silin, Shen Ying lived well. Her only worry was her family's constant pressure to get married.
Under a barrage of red-envelope messages from her family, Shen Ying reluctantly went on a blind date. She waited and waited, but her date never showed. Just as she was about to leave, He Silin appeared.
He asked anxiously if she would consider him.
"Think before you say something like that. I'm an ordinary person, but that doesn't mean I'll settle for just anyone."
She threw his own words back at him, then turned and walked away without mercy.
Theme: Become each other's light
The plot is quite fresh, but it was too old-school in the early days. The heroine doesn't open her mouth when there is a problem, the domineering male protagonist, the mobile phone that is always either muted or out of battery, and then misunderstood this and that... I don't know what kind of belief supported me to watch it... The process of watching it was simply A mouthful of shit, a mouthful of candy, a mouthful of shit. Halfway through the book, I realized that I was reading something too late. In order to advance the plot, the misunderstandings and villains were deliberately made too stereotyped, as if the ancient bloody romance from twenty years ago was reincarnated. The interaction between the female protagonist and the male lead also made me frown. The advantages are that the plot is fresh, the writing is good, the character behavior patterns keep up with the times, and the male and female protagonists have a 1v1 super thick line. Please read it on demand [Rose]
It's quite old, but there is still such a cliched plot now, which was created by various misunderstandings and tricks 10 years ago. There is no content in the whole novel. Except for the first few chapters, which are very interesting and attractive, it is tempting to subscribe. After finishing the order, it turns out to be this kind of messy plot. . . . .
Isn't it updated every other day? Why didn't you update it yesterday and why won't you update it today?
