After the Cannon Fodder Bottom in a Harem Novel Went on Strike

Xie Chuitang awakened to the truth.

He discovered that he was living inside a melodramatic harem novel.

His fiance, Lu Shouchi, was about to announce at their engagement banquet that his one true love was someone else. There were thirty seconds left.

Xie Chuitang decided to fight him.

And so the news that two heirs from families joined by a business marriage had come to blows over Shen Zhishu, their mutual beloved, swept through their entire social circle.

Xie Chuitang thought for a moment, then decisively said, "Right, actually, I have a beloved of my own..."

Xie Chuitang had never felt so thoroughly cursed.

Ever since he announced that he and his fiance Lu Shouchi were mutual rivals for the same beloved, all kinds of random cats and dogs had started showing up to taunt him.

For example, Lu Shouchi's younger brother, Lu Huaian.

Lu Huaian sneered. "Give it up. Zhishu will never fall for you."

Xie Chuitang said, "That's hilarious. Who expects anything in return for being a simp? And while you're younger, richer, and better-looking than me, I don't think Shen Zhishu would be interested in you either."

Unexpectedly, Lu Huaian's face suddenly turned red.

"Am I really that great?" he asked. "Better than my brother?"

Xie Chuitang: ...This isn't right.

After seeing a different man with Shen Zhishu for the umpteenth time, Lu Shouchi was exhausted.

He suddenly realized that Shen Zhishu would never love only him, not in this lifetime.

How boring.

Lu Shouchi thought of Xie Chuitang.

His fiance, who shared his misfortune.

Maybe... joining forces to get through life together wouldn't be so bad?

Lu Shouchi drove to Xie Chuitang's apartment, intending to call a truce and get back together.

But he saw his wicked, quick-witted little brother standing outside the door, knocking as he called out,

"Sister-in-law, open up! It's me, your brother ^^"

Lu Shouchi: ?
