I'm the Simp Cannon Fodder in a Reverse Harem Story

Rong Hong had amnesia.

The System told him he'd transmigrated into the role of a cannon-fodder simp for a universally adored protagonist.

He had to become the one and only stumbling block on the protagonist's road to a beautiful romance, serving him devotedly and without complaint.

Rong Hong: Who's the protagonist?

System: The most handsome person in your eyes.

Then the System got suspended.

Rong Hong scanned the banquet hall and spotted Ji Boyu.

Not bad-looking.

He went right over to fawn on him.

Everyone thought Rong Hong was an unapologetic simp.

Only Rong Hong knew that he was simply a shallow man who fell in love with looks at first sight.

He asked for nothing in return because he didn't need a response.

The moment someone returned his feelings, Rong Hong would find it tedious and boring.

Ji Boyu, an aloof beauty who treated him with cool disdain, was just his type.

But as Rong Hong kept fawning over him, Ji Boyu's attitude gradually softened. He even asked Rong Hong where they should hold their wedding.

Rong Hong sensed trouble and made a run for it.

He was stuffed into a sack just before boarding his flight.

When he came to, Ji Boyu was licking his hand, his voice sinister.

"Baby, would locking up a puppy stop it from always trying to run away?"

*

Ji Boyu had been a possessive obsessive since childhood.

Until he met Rong Hong, who wasn't afraid of him going crazy at all.

To avoid frightening Rong Hong, Ji Boyu kept his true nature buried beneath a mask.

Then... he heard that Rong Hong had run away.

Ji Boyu: :D If that's how it is, why bother pretending?

Ji Boyu tied Rong Hong to his side.

He discovered that Rong Hong didn't actually love him.

Ji Boyu didn't go crazy. He stayed perfectly calm.

Because he had a secret of his own.

A secret about how... he wasn't the protagonist Rong Hong liked.

Brooding, repressed, possessive, body-stealing ghost seme vs. playful, love-at-first-sight simp scum uke
