I’m a Slacker, Not a Good-for-Nothing

In her previous life, Jian Xin worked herself to the bone. After finally buying the home of her dreams outright, she died of overwork at the office. She never expected to get a chance at a new life, with the family she had always longed for and a background wealthy enough to let her lie flat for the rest of her life. Why work herself to the bone anymore? Of course she'd take it easy.

But one childhood friend can't stand how little ambition she has. How can someone so young just muddle along? She should get out there and work hard!

No matter what she tries, though, she can't get her childhood friend, who's determined to lie flat, to perk up. So she has no choice but to get her own act together. That way, she'll be able to support her childhood friend in the future. Meanwhile, Jian Xin is quite happy to have another person she can depend on.

Then her childhood friend is set up by her family in collusion with outsiders. At the crucial moment, Jian Xin steps in and resolves her friend's predicament. Faced with her childhood friend's astonished expression, Jian Xin scratches her head. Sure, she's a bit of a slacker, but that doesn't mean she's useless.
