The ad copy on the flyer was so over-the-top and fake that most people scoffed and tossed it away.
But Su Jiu wasn't like most people. She'd spent years at the very bottom of her class, and the flyer had her rooted to the spot.
Turn your life around and get into a top university in a hundred days?? What a deal :)
Nothing could stop Su Jiu's determination to improve. Fired up with excitement, she hurried to transfer schools.
On her first day, Su Jiu was both excited and nervous. She was practically halfway to getting into a top university.
Everything about the new school was great, and Su Jiu was very satisfied. There were just a few too many rules. But that was fine. A good school was bound to be different.
After a while, Su Jiu realized that none of the students at her new school liked to study, and the teachers didn't even assign homework.
This wouldn't do. Nothing could stop someone who loved learning.
If the conditions weren't there, she'd create them.
In class, a monster was about to attack when Su Jiu grabbed it and tried to reform it. "Classmate, disrupting the teacher's lesson is wrong."
Su Jiu shoved the monster back into its seat. "Bad students get punished by the teacher."
Monster: ???
After class, the teacher picked up her books and was about to leave when Su Jiu called out, "Teacher, don't we have homework?"
Teacher: ???
Homework? The rules only told her to discipline disobedient bad students. They never told her to assign homework. Somebody, please help her.
A strange transfer student had recently arrived at the school. It was bad enough that she didn't like containing monsters, but now she was making them study.
Come on, were ghosts really that easy to make obey? What was the point of all their hard work containing monsters, then?
And yet, they really did obey...
Everyone was curious. "How do you get them to listen to you?"
Su Jiu looked surprised. "Isn't it written in the school rules?"
It was in the school rules? How come they'd never seen it?
[Student Handbook]
1. The school does not have a principal's office. If you see one, do not open its door. Stay where you are and contact your homeroom teacher.
2. If you see meat in the cafeteria, put down your utensils and leave. The school does not serve meat.
3. If the dorm supervisor knocks between 12:00 and 2:00, look at them through the gap beneath the door. If their head is on the ground, call your homeroom teacher immediately.
4. If you see an unfamiliar face in your classroom, do not draw attention to it. Find a chance to report it to the staff patrolling outside.
5. If you encounter a staff member wearing a uniform, shout for help. This school has no uniformed staff.
6. If a teacher goes berserk, stop moving immediately. Teachers do not hit well-behaved students.
7. Leave the classroom as soon as evening study ends. If anyone remains seated and doesn't move, run immediately!
8. If any other rule conflicts with the school rules, follow the school rules.
9. The school rules may change at any time. Check for updates regularly!
