[Haikyuu!!] Boys Need to Protect Themselves Too

[I have a completed Haikyuu!! fanfic. If you're interested, check out my profile.] The fifth time he heard a familiar character's name, Shiina Yura finally confirmed that he had transmigrated into the world of Haikyuu!!. As the ace middle blocker of Ichirin High, Shiina Yura's deadly blocks made hitters across Japan understand what fear was. Karasuno's freak quick attack sputtered in front of him, while Fukurodani's ace had his spikes mercilessly shut down... In his opponents' eyes, he was a terrifying demon of a middle blocker on the court, a nightmare made real. But off the court... Shiina! Shiina-senpai is way too approachable and innocent! He's so easy to fool! "Anyone who loves volleyball is a friend," Shiina Yura said. Because this was the world of Haikyuu!!. In this passionate world, nobody who loved volleyball could be a bad person. This seemingly simple belief earned Shiina Yura unanimous labels like "volleyball idiot," "airhead," and "pure-hearted sweetheart." Even his single-celled underclassman looked worried as he reminded him, "Senpai, boys need to protect themselves when they're out and about, too." Shiina Yura knew they'd misunderstood him, but he couldn't be bothered to explain. Behind the words everyone saw as a naive declaration was his biggest secret. In this pure world, he was going to live exactly as he pleased. Later, as he looked at the juniors and peers around him worrying about him even after they'd been fooled, Shiina Yura thought he should give those words back to them. Boys need to protect their hearts and bodies when they're out and about, too. Q: Why did you choose to play middle blocker? A: Because it's fun to make hitters wary of me. #Seems like an airhead, but actually sees through everything# #You think he's a pure-hearted sweetheart, but he's actually a max-level player# #The purest face, the hardest hits# Theme: Don't judge a book by its cover
