From the Start, It’s All About Scavenging [Apocalypse]

After Li He died, she became one with a desolate city.

When she realized she wasn't dead and tried to move her arm, a rumbling crash came from the ground.

"I've become a city."

It took Li He a long time to take human form.

It was too quiet.

So Li He started gathering people for the city.

That tall man looks strong. I'll bring him in to repair the city walls.

That mother and daughter are so starved they look like skeletons. They can help me pull weeds.

Oh? This plant I've never seen before seems to grow really well. I wonder if it's edible. It's sweet, so I'll bring it back to give everyone a little extra food. I can't let them starve to death.

The little girl I brought back can't speak. I'll need to find a few children her age to keep her company.

There's an old man outside who looks like he's about to die of old age. He won't be useful, so I won't bring him in.

Wait, the old man is wearing glasses. Maybe he's educated and can teach the children. I'll bring him back after all.

The more Li He gathered, the more kinds of creatures appeared.

Gradually, the people, animals, and plants in the city found a strange balance.

And they all wanted Li He to become the ruler of the apocalypse.
