[The blurb is a little rough. I'll polish it once I start writing the story.]

In 2055, humanity made a breakthrough in full-dive gaming technology. Huangfu Che eagerly signed up for a trial.
But he never expected his ex-boyfriend, Qi Sixian, to sign up too.
Even more surprising, they both got a spot in the trial.
Most surprising of all, the machine malfunctioned and mixed up their game saves!
That meant Qi Sixian ended up in Huangfu Che's farming and development game, while Huangfu Che ended up in Qi Sixian's emperor-raising game. The settings of the two games had also merged!
And both of them liked playing on hell difficulty. One game was about farming in a post-apocalyptic world, the other about being the last emperor of a dynasty. Put them together and the difficulty shot through the roof!
*
Huangfu Che sat on the dragon throne. Below him, every minister held an electronic tablet and reported disasters across the land:
"Your Majesty, a zombie horde has swept through Muzhou, leaving countless people homeless."
A zombie horde? What zombie horde? Zombies? Wait, why does this dragon throne have a massage function?!
The realm was in turmoil, and even the imperial harem was in disarray:
"Your Majesty, the Empress has run off with the Imperial Consort and a huge pile of gold and silver!"
*
Qi Sixian formed a zombie army in secret to reclaim the throne he believed belonged to him, and made repeated attempts on Huangfu Che's life in the palace.
But when he discovered that Huangfu Che, lying on the bed, had a snake tail instead of a lower body, he wanted to get back together with his ex more than he wanted to seize the throne.
[Unlucky, goofy top x cold on the outside, warm-hearted homemaker bottom. Reunited after a breakup, an old married couple takes on a strange world.]
(Inspired by the games Emperor's Growth Plan and Split Fiction.)
A friendly warning:
* Both are each other's only partner, one-on-one, happy ending. A light, sweet little story, and even the reason they broke up has no angst.
* No political intrigue, just monster-fighting, development, and everyday life. A flight of fancy.
* No splitting up or reversing the top and bottom, and no fantasies involving either of them.
Theme: I'll think about it.
