My Name Is Sang Biao, Remember It

Wen Fengyu picked up a silver-shaded cat.

The cat was quite humanlike, acting cute and clingy and shamelessly begging her for attention. He was the very picture of a cat repaying a kindness.

The only thing unusual about him was that he seemed to be a fearsome mob boss when he went out.

More than once, Wen Fengyu had seen him gather the stray cats in the neighborhood for a meeting.

Wen Fengyu knew the rules of the underworld.

Basically, you couldn't call a mob boss "kitty," or you'd damage his dignity out on the streets.

But...

Wen Fengyu stared at the young man doing housework, cat ears poking out on top of his head. "I can only afford to keep a cat. Can I return the human?"
