Breaking Off My Engagement to the Dragon-Proud Protagonist Before the Original Story Ends

*Content warning: The bottom has a long-term female-presenting identity. Neither character is a paragon of virtue. Please click away if that's not your thing.*

A gloomy, taciturn, original-novel overpowered protagonist x a worker racking his brains to patch up the plot. Both top and bottom have scenes where they disguise themselves and act opposite to their true identities. They always have eyes only for each other (and each other's secret identities), never anyone else. This is purely my own wild idea and character-bashing. The badly written, unfinished original novel's plot is based on common tropes I made up myself, with no intention of attacking any actual fantasy works. Any resemblance is purely coincidental.

Theme: Good and evil will always meet their just deserts.
