My new novel, My Mad Mentor Wants to Possess Me Every Day, is now underway. See my author page for details. Synopsis:
Zhu Qing transmigrates into the chaotic Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period.
She is a low-ranking secretary in the chief clerk's office, responsible for drafting documents. Her boss is Feng Huaihe.
Her boss is a brilliant strategist, coveted by ambitious warlords on all sides. His home is packed with visitors every day.
Zhu Qing thinks someone of his stature must be arrogant and aloof. But when she says she wants to quit, the big shot comes to see her in person and asks what she dislikes about her job. She can tell him everything, or, if her pay is too low, he'll raise it without limit.
As he says this, his gaze is strangely intense and unsettling, full of covetousness.
Zhu Qing thinks she must be imagining it.
Until she remembers everything...
In her previous life, Zhu Qing was Feng Huaihe's most outstanding female pupil. She surpassed her teacher and grew into his most formidable political opponent.
They schemed against each other, using every means at their disposal to fight a life-and-death struggle.
In the end, Feng Huaihe killed her.
He bore the infamy of killing his own pupil and spent the rest of his life alone, keeping watch over Zhu Qing's lonely grave.
Before he died, he made one final wish:
"May I see Zhu Qing once again."
Haunted by that regret, Feng Huaihe was reborn.
His sole goal in this life is to make it up to Zhu Qing and keep her all to himself.
She was so frightened that she ran away.

A little skit
A stormy night, the chief clerk's office.
Feng Huaihe holds Zhu Qing's resignation letter between his fingers. His voice is soft and calm. "It seems you've figured it out."
A clap of thunder suddenly crashes across the sky. He tears the resignation letter to shreds and walks slowly toward Zhu Qing. "Good. At least now I don't have to keep pretending and holding back every day."
Rain lashes down. His expression is sinister. Sensing danger, Zhu Qing turns and bolts for the door.
Feng Huaihe is tall and long-legged, and catches her in a single stride. He pins her hard against the desk and uses the calligraphy brush he writes his documents with to pry open her collar.
