A Field Guide for Wild Guides

Yuan Xu transmigrates to a future interstellar age and becomes a rare Guide.

Good news: My life as the beloved darling of a bunch of fluffballs is about to begin, right?

Bad news: His measured level is 0. Yuan Xu asks expectantly, "Is it the 0 in T0?" The dean of the Guide Academy smiles. "It's the zero in zero points."

Since its founding, the Central Academy of Daren Star has never had a level-zero student who could also manifest a spirit entity.

Level 0 means that a person's mental power can't withstand a mecha, nor can they precisely control it to treat a Sentinel's mindscape. They're just useless good-for-nothings who can manifest a spirit entity to wander around.

Sentinel Academy: We don't want him.

Guide Academy: We don't want him.

Teaching Academy and Research Academy: If you don't want him, neither do we.

A few years later, during a live-streamed battle from the front lines, people spot a rising Guide who can heal and repair Sentinels with one hand and pilot a mecha with the other, zipping all over the battlefield and slaughtering everything in his path. "!!!!"

The entire StarNet is in an uproar: What is this!? A Sentinel-Guide or a Guide-Sentinel?

That day, the news shoots straight to the top of the trending list!

…

Only later do people realize that Level 0 really is the 0 in T0.
