Chen Lan was an utterly ordinary Xianzhou native. Apart from being handsome and good at archery, which meant he was often roped into playing the Reignbow Arbiter in theatrical productions, there wasn't much else about him worth mentioning.
One day, after falling asleep, Chen Lan suddenly found he was no longer aboard the Xianzhou Luofu. He had a bow in his hands and seemed to be drawing it to fire an arrow.
Chen Lan: What the hell, why am I in space... Wait, why can't I let go? Aah, the arrow's about to fly!
A dazzling arrow of light shot from the bow in his hands, cleaving through the clouds with overwhelming force. It struck a planet, which exploded with a thunderous roar, blossoming into brilliant fireworks in the vastness of space.
Chen Lan: ...
He pinched himself. It seemed like a dream.

Year 7954 of the Star Calendar. During the sixth Interastral Cloud-Peer Scan, traces of a Reignbow light arrow were observed. The projected coordinates of the arrow's trajectory were Lavatinn-XVI.
When the Cloud Knights fleet reached the coordinates, the celestial body had already been destroyed, with no survivors. It was classified as a [Dead World] and removed from the star chart's routes.
Analysis of biological samples extracted from the celestial body by the Alchemy Commission of the Xianzhou Luofu revealed signs of infection by the Plague of Longevity.
--Records of the Reignbow's Manifestations
.
Chen Lan stared at the photograph of the celestial body for a long time, then slowly typed a question mark.
Could someone explain why the celestial body destroyed by the Reignbow light arrow looked so much like the planet he'd blown up in his dream?
Please Note:
1. The protagonist is the Reignbow Arbiter himself. The early story is probably something like Reignbow Arbiter Simulator: a corporate drone by day, hunting the Denizens of Abundance by night. This story uses the headcanon that the Reignbow Arbiter ascended to godhood from an Xianzhou native. Everything is fan-created.
2. Surely no one aboard the Xianzhou dislikes the Reignbow Arbiter. There may be some one-sided crushes.
3. I don't intend to bash the Abundance. I think the act of granting abundance isn't wrong in itself. The ones at fault are the greedy people who ask the Aeon Yaoshi for more. But the Denizens of Abundance will still be killed.
