More than a century after space exploration and extraterrestrial colonization technology became advanced, humanity stumbles against colonies of insectoid creatures eerily similar to the xenomorphs.
Rong Yansheng is given an emergency assignment and appointed captain of a special forces team tasked with destroying a hive. Most of his teammates are dead by the time he enters the depths of the hive alone. Just as he's about to die alongside the mysterious queen, he looks up and accidentally meets the blue eyes buried in a shattered cocoon.
Why does this "queen" look so much like his first love, the boyfriend he broke up with nine years ago and who disappeared eight years ago?
