After a car accident as a child, Yu Cang lost his sight. More than ten years later, he finally received a perfectly matched cornea, but his life didn't return to normal. The things he can see seem to belong to a world beyond the one he knows.
At the same time, a mysterious, pale young man latches onto him, insisting that he wants to protect him. Unable to bear the disturbance, Yu Cang gradually accepts the strange man's presence. After several brushes with danger, he finds himself harboring feelings and desires for this gloomy yet adorably clueless modern-day Daoist drifter, feelings he can hardly believe himself. But as Yu Cang falls for him, he realizes that whenever Mu Luo gazes at him with such adoration, it seems as though he is looking at someone else...
