Kindhearted, resilient healer vs. arrogant, scheming prince
Jiang Li transmigrated.
Luckily, she transmigrated into the novel she had been reading before bed.
Unluckily, she became the adopted daughter of a hunter's family, who had been sold off.
An insignificant passerby who never even appeared in the original story.
Fortunately, she was a medical student, and had picked up some knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine from her grandmother. Not only did she manage to escape, she also rescued a gravely injured man in black who had passed out.
His clothes were black, and so was the blood he spilled. She'd call him Xiao Hei.
He was warm, so he made a perfect hot-water bottle.
One day, while the two were chatting, Jiang Li thought of the Prince of Wei, the male supporting character praised in the original story for his "exquisite bearing and picture-perfect elegance," whose presence had driven the male and female leads to reconcile only on the brink of death. She asked Xiao Hei, "Do you know the Prince of Wei?"
The man, who was diligently pounding garlic as she had instructed, paused. Before he could think of a response, she went on, "I hear the Prince of Wei is unbelievably handsome, like a celestial being. On the day he left the palace to take up residence in his own estate, the crowds who came to see him knocked down the wall around his mansion. Is he really that good-looking?"
Xiao Hei gave her a half-smile, his eyes probing. "Are you hoping to become the Prince of Wei's consort, too?"
"Am I out of my mind?"
"Say that again!"
"Am I out of my mind, marrying that lunatic?"
Xiao Hei silently ground his teeth. This woman was truly strange. With her flawless skin, dark hair, and bright eyes like stars, she looked every bit as if she'd grown up amid luxury. And yet she knew nothing of proper manners and said whatever came to mind.
Just a few days ago, she didn't even know what rank a Commandant held. Today, she spoke with authority about royal scandals that had happened a thousand miles away.
How bizarre.

When a flood burst its banks, refugees poured into the small city where they had temporarily settled. Jiang Li went outside the city to offer free medical care, only to stumble into a riot as refugees fought over grain. In the chaos, a man wearing a golden crown appeared like a god from the heavens and easily drove off the people trying to kill her.
The people around them knelt and shouted, "We pay our respects to His Highness the Prince of Wei!"
Jiang Li stood rooted to the spot, as if struck by lightning.
The Prince of Wei. The Prince of Wei. Xiao Hei was the Prince of Wei!
She had ordered the Prince of Wei to pound garlic and tend the fire, and called him a lunatic to his face!
Xiao Hei, a.k.a. the Lunatic Prince of Wei, leisurely enjoyed watching her expression change again and again. The pent-up frustration he'd felt for days vanished completely.
"Miss Jiang, are you satisfied?"
"W-what?"
"Would you say I am unbelievably handsome? Do I have the bearing of a celestial being?"
Theme: Don't dismiss a good deed just because it's small
I like this ending. In ancient times, people were still cannibals. It would be great if the heroine returns home. I might consider doing some extras.
This ending is really rare. I came to know this book at the wrong time. I hope the author will stick to writing.
Did the author forget to write it for himself? 😂 Didn't you see the male protagonist's face in the second chapter?
It was very well written, why did it end so hastily?
Why is it over? It's so bad.
Why is it over? It's so bad.
Why is it over? It's so bad.
The plot jumps too much and it's not coherent.
Didn't you hide from the rain under the tree and wake up to treat Xiao Hei's injury? Why did it turn into a hole again 💔
