Cats, Tails, and the Magic of Summer Friendship

A fluffy little orange cat lay on the windowsill, its ears drooping like two tiny leaves wilted in the sun.

"It's so-o-o hot!" it complained, drawing out the words. Its pink nose was damp. What made it angriest was its big tail, which was like a thick blanket. No matter where it hid, the hot thing stayed stuck behind it.

"Bad tail!" The little orange cat nudged its tail with a paw. "Can't you stop following me?"
