High-Freedom Dating Game 1

[Apologies for OOC / inexperienced writing / one-sided crushes all around]

Out of boredom, you discover a game. On closer inspection, it has zero buyers, so you buy it out of curiosity. Once it's installed, you open it, and the world spins around you as you're pulled into the game. Following the System's instructions, you randomly draw an identity, but since it's the first time anyone has ever opened the game, the System is so excited that it confirms your choice before you can even see what it is.

When it comes time to choose a world, the same thing happens. You clearly want to pick the mafia world, but the unstable game jumps to a high-energy sports anime world instead. Before you can react, the scene in front of you changes into a bedroom. The System tells you your name is Mizuki Eimi.

Mizuki Eimi asks the System to explain her current identity, and hears something truly horrifying: Eimi used to have a happy childhood, but one day her father borrowed money from a crooked businessman at exorbitant interest. With interest piled on interest, the debt grew to seven billion. But her father is a responsible man, and he's already gone to work in the mines. Mizuki Eimi feels like the sky is falling. What kind of lousy identity is this? Then she asks, "What about Mom?"

001 says humorously, "She went next door to catch a tiger-man."

Mizuki Eimi: "..."

001: "Haha, just kidding. She thought life was too hard, so she divorced your father."

Among the schools 001 offers, Mizuki Eimi likes Hyotei. But the instant she clicks it, an alarm sounds: Bzzt! Not enough money!

Click Seigaku Shonan: Bzzt! Not enough money!

Click Teikou: Bzzt! Not enough money!

Click Rikkaidai: Bzzt! Not enough money!

Mizuki Eimi clicks every school with a nice-sounding name, but they're all too expensive. "I've had enough. Filter the schools I can afford..."

001: Sure. Since your house is in Tokyo, once we exclude transportation and accommodation costs, your only options are... Seishun Academy, Gyokurin Middle School, Fudomine, and Yamabuki Middle School.

Mizuki Eimi hesitates, then chooses Seishun Academy. The System tells her to study hard and get into high school. Mizuki Eimi is shocked: "Isn't this a dating game? Study hard?!"

Where's the exit button? Where's the Esc key? Once she finishes the game and gets back, she's giving it a terrible review!!!

001 reassures her that once she earns enough money, she can transfer schools after spending a year at her original school. It hopes she'll remember to earn money while working hard at her studies.

Mizuki Eimi thinks this game is doomed.

Theme: Lady Eimi needs to earn more money
