After Going Off the Rails

Qin Nan built himself up from nothing to the top of the pyramid, yet felt empty at the peak of his career. So he retreated into the mountains, hoping to find some peace.

Unexpectedly, on a mountain road, he came across Su Bai, whose car had a flat tire.

She seemed calm and quiet, speaking politely but with a distance. The kind of person who was easy to be around.

On a whim, Qin Nan decided to do a good deed and give her a ride.

But the more time they spent together, the more fascinated he became with her.

He quietly created chances for them to spend time together. They chatted and laughed, sharing similar interests. Whenever their eyes met, the atmosphere grew more and more charged.

Confidently, Qin Nan confessed his feelings to her.

But she took a step back. The wedding ring on her ring finger glinted coldly. "But, Mr. Qin, I'm already married."

Absurdity, pain, and anger surged up like a tide, burning his chest and making his head spin.

"I understand," he said. His voice was unexpectedly calm, even gentle.

She visibly breathed a sigh of relief.

The next moment, Qin Nan abruptly closed the distance, his arm clamping around her like an iron band and pulling her against him.

As she stared at him in horror, he landed a fierce kiss on her. "I don't mind."

Su Bai was stunned. "You don't mind being the other woman?"

This world had to be crazy.
