Why Would You Mess with a Love-Obsessed Monster?

Lin Mo may have realized that he's just an ordinary NPC in a horror-game instance.

It's pretty obvious.

Every so often, people anywhere from eight to eighty years old transfer into his school to attend their senior year.

New tenants often move into the old apartment building where he lives, in whole batches.

At the supermarket he passes, groups of unfamiliar faces periodically show up, furiously calculating and too nervous to go to the checkout.

Aside from all that, his everyday life is peaceful enough.

After all, he's just an ordinary NPC in an instance. No matter what world they're in, the most important thing for high school seniors is to study hard and attend class. Even in a world of the supernatural, that's no different.

Even if his younger brother is a D-rank instance monster, he tells himself.

They're both at the very bottom, and the other one is always crying in front of him, but being alive is good enough. They can just rely on each other.

Until...

He accidentally entered an instance, and the S-rank monster across from him took one look at him, turned pale with shock, and ran away.

The note it dropped had familiar handwriting. It was his younger brother's.

He picked it up and read:

Anyone who maliciously slanders my big brother or insults him will get no apology and no compensation. I'll kill them on the spot! My brother is the only person I love in this world, my only faith, so please don't say anything bad about him. Thank you! Note: I have no parents (I killed them), no wife or kids (I'm about to marry my brother), nothing to hold me back (except my brother), and I don't care about the consequences.
