What to Do When My Own Protagonists Fall for Me

Zhang Bai is an author who writes xianxia novels. She's written several different kinds of xianxia stories.

One day, in beautiful weather, she opened her laptop to write. A bolt of lightning struck her. When she opened her eyes again, a girl in plain clothes stood backlit before her and held out a hand.

"I'm Wang Er. Are you all right? Want me to help you up?"

Zhang Bai shuddered and stared in disbelief. That was the name of the female lead in her no-romance xianxia novel, The Immortal Path, which she was almost finished writing!

No, more importantly, she could cultivate immortality too!

System 334 arrived late, just as Zhang Bai was about to follow Wang Er and seek a master at the Sword Sect. It told Zhang Bai that the small worlds were collapsing and merging because she'd left too many plot threads dangling. As the Heavenly Daos merged, she would have to team up with different male and female leads to preserve peace in the worlds.

The System then gave her a list of the female leads she needed to contact so far:

[Female Lead 1: The most adored woman in the Immortal Realm and the top beauty among the Six Realms. She has already ascended to become a Divine Lord. Host, contact her immediately.

Female Lead 2: Ruler of the Demon Realm. She just defeated the male lead of another merged world and claimed the throne, and is now preparing to expand the Demon Realm. Host, stop her immediately.

Female Lead 3: A laid-back foodie. She has a chaotic five-element spiritual root and is still sweeping the mountain. Host, go bring her in immediately.

Female Lead 6: The future greatest swordswoman. Host, start training her immediately.

...The rest are yet to be discovered.]

System: Host, hurry up! The Demon Emperor has already beaten the God of War. If you wait any longer, the Divine Realm will be gone! How are we supposed to keep the worlds at peace?

Zhang Bai: Stop rushing me, I'm on my way. I've already rescued four kids. Stop rushing me!

Reader's Guide:

1. A high proportion of female characters.

2. The protagonist has no romantic partner, but some of the kids (the female leads) will. That's why it's labeled romance.

3. Exclusive to Jinjiang. The blurb was first posted on May 6, 2025.

Theme: World peace!
