Locked in Spring

A short revenge tragedy

My husband was meeting his old lover, Ye Xiaoqing, every night while I was six months pregnant.

I thought they were simply unable to forget their past, but it turned out that when they met, they were plotting to take my life.

Ye Xiaoqing: "Jinlang, once it's done, kill her!"

My husband chuckled. "She's just a country girl. Of course I'll do as you wish, my love."

Later, he used my newborn child to make medicine for his and Ye Xiaoqing's gravely ill young son.

Then he poisoned me with a cup of wine and left the mangled remains of my child and me in a mass grave, where wild dogs devoured them.

My soul drifted around the Jiang residence day after day, unable to find release.

On the night he married Ye Xiaoqing, I watched him smile as he entered the bridal chamber.

But the moment he lifted the bride's veil, his expression suddenly changed.

I heard his voice, full of shock.

"Why is it you? Where's Xiaochun? What happened to my Xiaochun?"

P.S.:

1. The characters aren't perfect, and the male lead is not a virgin.

2. A revenge story.

Theme: Everyone is equal. Don't do evil.
