A possessive, domineering romance with a chase to win her back
[Soft, adorable, resilient angel x Handsome, cold-hearted duke]
*
Eve transmigrates into the body of a poor shepherdess. When she wakes, she finds herself in a home with nothing, but there is one silver lining: she now has a handsome, elegant husband. He calls himself Leia, a fallen noble who eloped with Eve because he loves her deeply.
Looking into his tender, affectionate eyes, Eve can’t help falling for him.
God, has Lady Luck finally smiled on her?
In this dangerous new world, she lives a happy life, with Leia waiting on her hand and foot.
After so many nights spent pressed against him, feeling his firm arms, his hot chest, and his powerful movements, she can’t help thinking her husband has so much stamina that he can’t possibly be human. And when she meets his domineering, ferocious gaze, she gets the unsettling feeling that he’s about to devour her whole.
Is her husband... a little too passionate?

Though she’s captivated by Leia’s good looks, Eve never gives up searching for a way home.
But the mysterious books of magic are always torn apart by wild beasts, and the wizards she asks for help all mysteriously disappear. Her journey home is delayed day after day.
Then, one night, Eve discovers her husband’s true identity.
He is none other than the kingdom’s greatest duke, de Elias Velt. Rumor has it he is inhuman, with a taste for war and slaughter. His fearsome reputation has spread far and wide, striking terror into countless hearts.
Even pure love couldn’t awaken his humanity.
The beautiful, noble Princess Sophia had loved him for years, yet met a mysterious death on her wedding night. The duke later had several other fiancées, and not one of them came to a good end.
They say he has practiced black magic for years, using his handsome looks to lure innocent, naive women into falling for him. Then he sacrifices each of his wives to demons in exchange for evil power and supreme authority.
At last, Eve understands what had felt so wrong all along. That very night, she flees in a panic.

They meet again at a ball in the imperial capital.
Wearing a mask, Eve dances with her new noble fiancé, a gentle and kind young man who treats her with great care.
Just as the two are whispering intimately to each other, a cold, clinging gaze falls on her.
Her heart leaps in alarm, but the people around her are all saying that the Grand Duke Elias has left early. For the first time in his life, he fell in love at first sight with a commoner. He pursued her in every way he could, but she never returned his feelings.
Eve breathes a sigh of relief.
That was all in her imagination, right?
After the ball, she says goodbye to her fiancé and is heading for her carriage when a hand drags her into an alley and covers her mouth and nose. She loses consciousness.
On a lavish bed, dark red curtains hang around them, and the faint scent of blood lingers in the air. She struggles to get up and leave, only to meet a familiar pair of gloomy eyes.
Her “ex-husband,” the man she abandoned, stares at her with a menacing expression, love and murderous intent churning in his eyes. It’s enough to make her blood run cold.
Elias ignores her struggles, pins her slender wrists above her head, and presses her hard into the soft feather pillow. Then a cold dagger rests against her throat.
Eve feels the breath of death upon her and remembers the terrifying rumors about her ex-husband.
“Darling, we meet again.”
“Wasn’t I gentle enough with you? Why did you run away?”
Eve trembles, about to beg for mercy.
But he speaks first, smiling maliciously as if he’s just realized something:
“Ah, I see. You were worried I’d sacrifice you to a demon, weren’t you?”

1. Both leads are sexually inexperienced. One-on-one romance, happy ending.
2. No wife-killing. There’s more to the story about the male lead and his former fiancées.
