One-sentence summary: Many in this world love you, like countless stars, but I love you more than the stars do.
Photographer Zhu Ping'an's first job after returning from abroad is to take a series of everyday portraits of her old classmate, Cheng Sijin.
Cheng Sijin has lived up to her name: her future is bright. As one of the hottest female singers in the country, she is beautiful and hardworking. Wherever she goes, her promotional posters are everywhere.
No one knows that back in high school, Cheng Sijin couldn't even afford meals. Whenever Zhu Ping'an fed the cats, Cheng Sijin would crouch nearby and swallow wistfully. Feeling sorry for her, Zhu Ping'an fed Cheng Sijin like one of the cats for several years, until they graduated and went their separate ways.
Some people hide their difficult past after making it big. Others, like Cheng Sijin, do everything they can to support an old classmate's career.
At least, that was what Zhu Ping'an believed, until one day...
Zhu Ping'an found a photograph in an old family album. It showed half of a girl's face, her gaze full of feeling, with a tiny black mole at the corner of her right eye. Following her gaze, Zhu Ping'an saw herself as a girl, looking up at the bright moonlight of a supermoon, unaware that someone beside her was watching her intently.
Cheng Sijin and Zhu Ping'an had never been together, but in Cheng Sijin's heart, Zhu Ping'an was the love of her life, her first love until death.
Cheng Sijin asked Zhu Ping'an to look after her cat for a while. When Zhu Ping'an went out to eat with a suitor, the suitor confessed their feelings. She politely turned them down: "I'm afraid my cat might not approve of this match." The cat regarded the suitor with utter indifference.
But as soon as she finished speaking, the cat jumped onto the lap of the person in the back seat and began meowing affectionately.
The suitor looked over and saw none other than the superstar Cheng Sijin.
Understanding, the suitor quietly withdrew.
Zhu Ping'an: ???
