The God's Final Descent

At some point, the world became a complete mess. Nightmare miasma ran rampant, ghosts lurked everywhere, and whenever night fell, demonic creatures roamed freely.

Ying Yue worked for the Yecheng Demon-Hunting Association as a top-ranked hunter, tasked with clearing out demonic creatures at night and keeping the peace.

After a mishap left her infected by the miasma, she was on the verge of transforming when a "doctor" saved her.

More precisely, it was a specially appointed hunter whose awakened talent was "Purification."

They fell in love.

But a year later, her boyfriend mysteriously vanished from the world.

She searched everywhere and couldn't find him. When she finally saw him again, it was 2,112 years in the past.

Two thousand years ago, Yecheng was still a small country called Huanghun. Her gentle, handsome priest boyfriend had become a beautiful, bewildered pale youth. The people called him a fallen god and locked him in a lightless abyss deep underground, greedily drawing on his purifying power to fight a plague.

That was the first time he met her underground.

He paid a tremendous price and waited 2,112 years to meet her again.

Then he fell asleep.

Only then did Ying Yue learn that her boyfriend was not the last god, but the last god to descend into the mortal world. He had exhausted his divine power, yet still couldn't completely purify all the demonic creatures. He could only wait in slumber for his death or his return to the divine realm.

So Ying Yue closed the passage between the mortal world and the divine realm, keeping the last god in the mortal world forever.

She awakened her boyfriend and made him her believer, enjoying the devotion and offerings he gave her in the name of love.

She became the first human god.
