Qi He transmigrated into a world that was strange, dark, chaotic, and almost absurd to him.
To make matters worse, he had suffered a brain injury, and most of what he knew was jumbled and wrong.
It was a nightmare from the start.
And he only found out much later, after arriving in this new world. By the time he learned there was something wrong with him, he had already cut out the devil's heart and set it into his throne.
Because, to him, the devil's heart was the most beautiful jewel in the world.
The devil could not be killed. Its heart could regenerate.
So Qi He imprisoned the devil.
Along with his ex-boyfriend.
He still wasn't satisfied.

In this world, where angels and demons were everywhere, elves were as common as grass, and theology was the mainstream, one's race determined one's allegiance, while the purity of one's bloodline became the only measure of a life’s worth.
The purer the bloodline, the greater the potential and the stronger the power.
Humans, once the protagonists of the world, had been abandoned long ago because of their mixed blood, vanishing into the dust of history.
Qi He, a human, made no waves when he first appeared. He looked so weak that even a needle could pierce his skin, letting him feel the warmth of life draining away.
"Qi, a beautiful but fragile little thing."
That was how he, he, he, and he all described him.
Yet later, this same seemingly frail and helpless human killed the great noble who had tried to keep him as a pet, and dragged the king of the dragon clan down from his golden mountain with brutal force.
Much later, an enemy politician spent an entire night researching how Qi He had risen to power and reached a conclusion.
He believed Qi He had made a deal with the devil, seduced the benevolent angel, and stolen all his power and status through underhanded means.
Qi He listened and scoffed, thinking, What the hell is a devil? Anyone worthy of sitting at my table would have to be a god.
